This garden shed is located in the Spanish town of L'Aboc and was designed to fit exactly onto the existing foundation. The base plate measures 320 cm in width and 145 cm in depth – the garden shed makes full use of this space, with no overhang and no wasted space.
Thanks to its slim, elongated proportions, the structure blends in neatly with the property. The position and geometry are based on the residential building, so that the garden shed appears more like an additional, tranquil architectural element than a retrofitted outbuilding.
In the Spanish climate, it was important to the customer that the surface would not fade or need to be repainted regularly. That is why a black HPL façade was chosen. The material is designed for long-term outdoor use, is UV-resistant and colour-fast – ideal for high solar radiation and summer temperatures.
This ensures that the dark, matt appearance is retained in the long term, while the garden shed provides reliable storage space for tools and accessories. The combination of precise cutting to fit the foundation and the robust HPL surface makes this project a low-maintenance, architecturally clean solution for a garden shed in Spain.
