First and foremost, the object of desire was to be a modern designer garden shed – elegant in appearance, with clean lines and finished in a dark anthracite shade. But when a garden shed alone cannot fully meet individual requirements, the search for the perfect solution often turns into an odyssey, culminating in the sobering realisation that the desired bespoke solution simply does not exist in that form. So what to do? DIY enthusiasts see this as their next project, pragmatists combine individual elements – each fulfilling a specific function – and design enthusiasts present their wishes to us. After all, a solution that looks like a DIY job is not necessary – quite the opposite. The wish list in this case consisted of the aforementioned garden shed, an attached shelter and a seamlessly integrated privacy screen. Everything was to appear as if cast from a single mould, combining functionality and design without compromising on build quality. This wish list gave rise to the project shown here: a garden shed with an integrated canopy that can be used for bicycles, bins and the like, whilst the actual garden shed remains usable as usual. The adjoining privacy screen is so discreet that it only catches the eye at second glance. An all-round successful design ensemble, in our opinion.
