This small light grey garden shed stands at the edge of a dense, green garden and serves the classic purpose of a tool shed: space for garden tools, watering cans, soil and everything else you want to have close at hand in everyday life. The compact footprint is sufficient to create order without visually reducing the size of the garden. The clear shape, flat roof and subtle colour blend in well with the plants – the shed has a calm appearance and remains in the background.
The roof has a single-sided slope, with water drained internally rather than via an external pipe down the façade. Neither the gutter nor the downpipe are visible from the outside – this is exactly what modern drainage on a tool shed should look like.
