In this case, the starting point was clear: four large 240-litre bins, but a site with a steep slope. Instead of glossing over the problem, it was solved with a neat construction solution. Two stepped foundations were created on site, each of which was fitted with a 2-bin enclosure. This means that the boxes stand stably on a defined level, can be operated cleanly and make optimum use of the available space. At the same time, the result looks much tidier than a single, sloping large solution.
In this case, recessed handles were not used because this was expressly requested. Opening and closing is done via a storm-proof tip-on system, which gives the front a particularly clean look. In combination with the hinged lids, this creates a modern, minimalist look that does not unnecessarily draw attention to the bin area. The gradation between the two 2-bin boxes further breaks up the appearance and ultimately even turns the technical necessity (slope) into a design element. The 4-bin waste bin enclosure thus masters the situation on site in a functional and visually convincing manner.
