This garden shed with two sliding doors demonstrates how to make the most of a narrow and long plot. Instead of providing just one central entrance, a sliding door has been fitted on both the left and right sides. This allows access to the garden shed from both sides and makes it possible to utilise the full length of the walls for shelving, tools and storage space. There is no need to keep a wide aisle clear across the entire depth, which would take up valuable floor space.
This layout is particularly effective for garden sheds with limited depth or very long designs. The doors are situated at the ends, whilst the interior remains fully usable in between. This makes the long garden shed appear significantly more spacious than its floor area would initially suggest. What might have been a makeshift solution dictated by the site conditions thus becomes a well-thought-out storage concept that turns a narrow, long garden shed into a space-saving marvel.
