Where there is a pool, technology gathers: the filter system, the pump, the heat exchanger – plus pool noodles, air mattresses, nets and care products. This modern pool shed shows how all of it disappears directly beside the basin: protected, lockable and in a form that belongs to the pool landscape instead of disturbing it. The cubic building in grey stands only a few steps from the water and turns the subject of pool technology into a tidy detail.
A building for pool technology has to cope with splashing water and a permanently damp environment. The façade of this project is made of HPL (high-pressure laminate) by Trespa – a material that is waterproof, UV-resistant and frost-proof. The surface absorbs no moisture, does not fade in the sun and never needs painting or impregnating. A position immediately at the basin is therefore no concern: the building will not age faster than the pool itself, with a calculated service life of around 50 years.
Pool technology is valuable – and it should stay out of curious hands, especially when children play around the water. Here the technology disappears behind a lockable door and is accessible only to you. At the same time it remains easy to reach for maintenance and winterising: the large sliding door opens the room generously without a door leaf swinging into the way – a real advantage on terraces and paths where every centimetre counts. For fit-outs as a technology room we bring the experience of many projects; ask us about the details, for example the air circulation the filter system needs.
The basis of this project is our garden building range, which frequently goes to work beside pools – rainproof, weatherproof and honoured with several awards. Storage and technology share one calm structure: the filter hums behind its partition while cushions, toys and garden furniture wait dry on the other side of the room.
You choose your garden shed from 12 standard sizes or have the building made to measure: base dimensions, windows, doors, colour and equipment are all decided by you in the modular system. The result fits basin, terrace and plot exactly – from the compact technology cabinet to the generous building in which the whole summer overwinters.
The grey shown here holds back and gives water, greenery and terrace the lead – but over 250 HPL colours and décors are open to you, from white to black, from steel grey to wood-effect finishes. Free colour samples are sent to your home in advance, so you can judge the tone right next to pool and terrace surfaces.
How close to the basin may it stand? How much technology and how many accessories must fit inside? And how does it blend into the garden? Close to the water, the waterproof HPL façade plays its strength; the size follows from filter system, heat pump and storage needs – and the cubic form ensures the building complements the pool landscape instead of competing with it.
Like every DESIGA product, this building is developed in-house and manufactured in Germany; the load-bearing substructure of C24 structural timber is statically calculated in accordance with Eurocode 5, with adjustable feet and ventilation underneath instead of chemical timber protection. Delivery is available across Europe – on request our own assembly team sets the building up beside your pool, or you assemble it yourself with the help of a detailed step-by-step assembly video. More than 2,000 completed projects and a 5-star rating from over 220 Google reviews speak for this care. Are you planning a pool shed for technology and accessories?
