Located in one of London's most sought-after residential areas, this project impressively demonstrates how modern architecture and functional utility can be combined in the smallest of spaces. The aim of the design was to enhance the appearance of a previously unused niche in the rear garden area while creating valuable storage space for the whole family. In this challenging environment, the square garden shed with a flat roof acts as a discreet but effective eye-catcher. The cubic design is strictly based on the clean lines of the main building and creates a calm, structured overall appearance. Especially in densely built-up urban areas, this kind of integration is crucial in order not to overload the outdoor space, but rather to visually expand it through order and sustainably increase the living value of the garden.
A square garden shed with a flat roof must meet high standards of material durability, especially in London's changeable climate. The use of high-density façade panels in elegant anthracite ensures that the building retains its high-quality appearance for decades without the need for regular maintenance or repainting. The surface withstands moisture and intense UV radiation alike, which is a great advantage in a shady niche, preventing moss growth and material fatigue. Thanks to its design and flush-mounted glass elements, the garden shed looks as if it were made from a single mould. Inside, the square floor plan measuring 260 cm x 260 cm offers a surprising amount of space for play equipment, garden utensils or high-quality furniture covers. This project proves that even technical functional buildings can become an asset-enhancing element for any premium property thanks to the highest quality materials and architectural consistency.
