A garden shed has been built in Bochum that impressively demonstrates how an architect-designed garden shed can serve as a logical continuation of the residential architecture. With its generous dimensions of 390 cm wide and 250 cm deep, the anthracite-coloured building blends perfectly into the modern ensemble. While classic wooden sheds often look like an afterthought in the garden, this solution impresses with its clean lines and cubic design, which underlines and enhances the architectural concept of the property.
The comparison between a conventional wooden tool shed and this architect-designed garden shed made of HPL could hardly be clearer. In addition to its superior appearance, the decisive advantage is the durability of the material: the façade does not need to be painted or maintained at great expense. While wood weathers over the years and requires regular sanding and glazing, the HPL surface remains colourfast and dimensionally stable. This makes the garden shed a valuable investment that not only offers storage space but also guarantees a clean and high-quality appearance for years to come.
