A project was completed in Augsburg that impressively highlights the design possibilities of a modern tool shed. This custom-made cube tool shed in Corten steel, with a width of 425 cm and a depth of 130 cm, was tailored precisely to the local conditions. The cubic design with two large sliding doors not only offers optimal storage space on a narrow floor plan, but also serves as a highlight in the garden. The minimalist design and high-quality workmanship create a timeless aesthetic that clearly sets it apart from conventional solutions. The sliding doors also allow convenient access to the interior without open door surfaces restricting the space in the outdoor area or valuable storage space being sacrificed for walkways in the garden shed.

The advantages of genuine Corten steel: a vibrant look and extreme durability

A special highlight of this project is the façade made of genuine Corten steel. This material is characterised by its distinctive patina, which develops over time under the influence of the weather. The Corten steel tool shed thus constantly changes its appearance – from warm gold and orange tones in the sun to a deep, earthy dark brown in damp weather. Beyond its visual appeal, the rust layer forms a protective barrier that protects the steel from further corrosion. This makes the tool shed a virtually indestructible and completely maintenance-free solution. No painting or impregnation is required, making steel one of the most sustainable and easy-care materials in the garden.
