In Rösrath, the custom-made patio cabinet primarily serves to keep technology and accessories handy right by the water. The focus was on providing protected storage for the pool robot: the device has plenty of space and is safely stored away from direct UV radiation and the elements. Positioning it right by the edge of the pool eliminates the usual trips involved in daily use of the cleaning technology. Despite its compact dimensions, the cabinet offers enough space to store other pool equipment dry and dust-free in addition to the robot.
Due to its close proximity to the pool, the housing must be permanently resistant to splashing water and the increased humidity in the pool area. The material used ensures that the interior remains dry, which is particularly important for the longevity of electronic components. The dark colour of the cabinet matches the modern design of the outdoor area and allows the storage space to fade into the background. This solution shows how custom-made furniture can increase the utility value of a pool terrace by creating order and safely protecting expensive technical equipment.
