A white garden cupboard makes a statement: bright, welcoming and precise – provided it fits perfectly into its space. This project showcases a bespoke design that elegantly solves a typical problem area around the house: the space next to the cellar shaft. Instead of letting the cupboard end in front of the shaft and leaving a ‘dead corner’, the white front has been cleverly extended – form and function go hand in hand, and nothing looks like a compromise.
The cupboard has been extended to the left, beyond the cellar shaft – though not as a full cupboard compartment, but simply comprising a top panel, a back panel and a shelf securely bolted in place. The door, left-hand side panel and base have been deliberately omitted. The result: in the left-hand section, light items can be stored as required without putting any strain on the cellar shaft. The tap remains easily accessible, light can still reach the shaft – and the front appears seamless, as if the cupboard had been designed specifically for this wall. Which it was. It is precisely these details that define bespoke work: a solution that adapts to the situation and really works in the space.
When it comes to white outdoor furniture, the material is key. The cupboard is made from HPL (High-Pressure Laminate) by Trespa – UV-resistant, rainproof and frost-proof. The white won’t yellow in the sun or lose its lustre; if the surface gets dirty, a garden hose and a cloth are all you need. There’s no need for sanding, waterproofing or repainting – it’s designed to last around 50 years. This means the white garden cupboard will remain as fresh-looking as it was on the day it was installed, even after many years.
Behind the doors, the cabinet offers organised storage space for garden tools, cushions and accessories – with shelves that can be adapted to suit your needs. On the outside, the front remains completely uncluttered: clean joints, straight edges, no exposed fittings. In white, the cabinet complements light-coloured window frames and rendered façades, making the area around the house appear larger and tidier.
Whether it’s a cellar shaft, a tap, a sloping roof or a recess: we design our garden cupboards precisely to suit the layout of your property. Our case study on versatile storage in Freinsheim also demonstrates what bespoke storage on the terrace can achieve. As well as white, there are over 250 HPL colours and finishes to choose from – we’ll send colour samples to your home free of charge in advance.
We design every garden cupboard ourselves and manufacture it in Germany – with delivery across Europe and on-site assembly available on request. Over 2,000 completed projects and a 5-star rating from more than 220 Google reviews show that this attention to detail pays off.
