A white garden storage cupboard is a statement: bright, friendly and precise – provided it fits its place exactly. This project shows a made-to-measure build that solves a typical problem zone beside the house with quiet elegance: the area around the cellar shaft. Instead of letting the cupboard stop short of the shaft and leaving a dead corner behind, the white front was cleverly extended – function and appearance fall into line, and nothing about the result looks like a compromise. What could have been the awkward leftover strip beside the house became the most considered part of the whole arrangement.
The cupboard was continued to the left, out over the cellar shaft – but deliberately not as a full cabinet section. Only the top, the back panel and one firmly fixed shelf carry on; the door, the left side panel and the base are consciously omitted. The result: light items can be set down in the left-hand section without putting any load on the shaft. The water tap remains freely accessible, daylight still reaches the shaft – and the front reads as one continuous line, as though the cupboard had been designed for exactly this wall. It was. Details like this are what made-to-measure work actually means: a solution that adapts to the situation and genuinely works on site.
With white outdoor furniture, the material decides everything. The cupboard is made from HPL (high-pressure laminate) by Trespa – UV-resistant, rainproof and frost-proof. The white does not yellow in the sun and does not turn dull; if the surface gets dirty, a garden hose and a cloth are all it takes. Sanding, impregnating or repainting are permanently off the agenda – the material is calculated for a service life of around 50 years. The cupboard still looks as fresh after years as it did on the day of assembly.
Behind the doors, the cupboard offers organised storage for garden tools, cushions and accessories – with shelves that adapt to how it is used. On the outside, the front stays completely calm: clear joints, straight edges, no applied fittings. In white, the piece picks up light window frames and rendered façades, making the whole area beside the house feel larger and tidier than before. Everything that used to stand around openly – watering gear, hand tools, the small clutter of garden life – now has a fixed, dry place behind one bright, quiet surface.
Cellar shaft, water tap, sloping roof or niche: every one of our made-to-measure garden cabinets is planned precisely around the givens of your property, rather than in spite of them. The awkward corner that no standard furniture would ever fit becomes the starting point of the design – and usually ends up as the most convincing part of it. Height, width and depth follow the wall, the shaft and the tap; the interior layout follows what will actually be stored. Standard dimensions force compromises on a plot – a bespoke plan removes them one by one.
Beyond white, over 250 HPL colours and finishes are available – from warm greys through anthracite to wood décor – and free colour samples are sent to your home in advance, so the tone can be checked directly against render, windows and paving before you decide.
Every cupboard is developed in-house and manufactured in Germany. It leaves the workshop fully assembled and is delivered by specialist carrier – ready to use on arrival, with delivery available across Europe.
