A real ensemble is created here in the front garden: the garden shed and bin storage unit visually complement each other and together have a much stronger effect than either solution on its own. Despite the sloping foundation, the structure stands neatly and appears to have been carefully planned – it doesn't look like it has just been "put there", but rather forms a clear conclusion to the corner. The 4-unit solution accommodates four large 240-litre bins and transforms a typical bin area into an element that makes a statement in the front garden.
The steel grey colour harmonises very well with the existing paving and picks up on its grey and stone character. As a result, the bin enclosure does not look out of place, but as if it had been planned for the area from the outset. The way the enclosure closes off the corner of the property to the street is a particularly good solution: the area looks finished, tidy and structured. It is just as functional – bins are neatly stowed away, easy to use and still quickly accessible without detracting from the corner.
