Here, a modern garden shed has been designed as an extension of the fence – tailored precisely to the site conditions and deliberately kept simple. The extra-wide sliding door, with an opening width of 1.40 m, makes everyday access much easier, particularly when dealing with bulky equipment or garden furniture. The integrated toughened glass brings daylight into the interior without making the front appear cluttered. Overall, the result is a clean finish along the property boundary: functional as storage space, whilst also providing privacy – and visually understated enough to blend harmoniously with the large, widely overhanging carport roof.
The added value is not only found inside, but above all in front of it: when the garden shed and privacy screen sensibly extend the fence line, the area in front remains more spacious and usable. It is precisely this open space that is worth its weight in gold in practice – quickly parking something, rearranging items, fetching tools, moving bins or bicycles without it feeling cramped. Thanks to the clean lines, the solution appears tidy and ‘seamless’, rather than like an afterthought.
