This project impressively demonstrates that challenging site conditions do not have to be an obstacle to modern design. The particular challenge was to integrate an existing step in the foundation directly into the building. Instead of laboriously compensating for the difference in height, the object was designed to run seamlessly across both levels. This required excellent preparation: the exact height difference was measured down to the centimetre so that the HPL elements could be precisely cut to size on the CNC milling machine during production. The result is an architectural unit "from a single mould" that makes perfect use of the available space on the slope.
The customised design has created a generous amount of space that goes far beyond conventional solutions. Several wide sliding doors allow convenient access to the various functional areas, while the high-quality ESG glazing ensures a bright and friendly interior. Whether as a secure bicycle garage, a structured space for rubbish bins or a small workshop in the countryside – the possible uses are as varied as the building itself. Thanks to professional on-site installation, the complex structure blends perfectly into its surroundings and proves that technical expertise and precision craftsmanship can overcome any topographical obstacle.
