Three bins, one calm unit: this 120 litre bin store shows how compactly the waste question can be settled beside the front door. The 120-litre wheelie bin is the standard format for many households – and the unit that houses three of them stays correspondingly slim. Finished in anthracite, it slots discreetly between façade and driveway and turns the usual cluster of bins into an ordered, almost furniture-like element of the front garden. Especially on narrower plots, where every half metre in front of the house counts, this compact footprint is the decisive argument: full order, minimal space.
Everyday comfort lives in the details here. The flip lids are fitted with gas struts, so they open upwards in a controlled, effortless movement – no heavy lifting, no lids slamming shut in the wind. The bag drops into the bin from above, and the lid settles gently back into place. It is the kind of refinement you notice precisely because you use it every day, often with one hand full. Where an unassisted lid demands a firm grip and a watchful eye, the gas struts make filling a light, quiet, one-handed routine – in the morning rush just as much as after dinner.
When the bins need to go to the kerb, the doors at the front take over. Each of the three bins stands behind its own opening and rolls out individually – no manoeuvring, no shifting the neighbouring bins aside, no lifting anything over an edge. Afterwards the bin rolls back in, the door closes, and the front returns to its calm, uninterrupted line. Two separate routes – filling from the top, emptying at the front – keep both routines short and tidy.
The unit is built from robust HPL (high-pressure laminate) by Trespa. The weather-resistant material needs neither painting nor sealing – you quite simply have no work with it. The anthracite surface is UV-resistant and will not have faded even after years in the sun, rain washes dirt straight off, and with an impact resistance of over 40 newtons the material takes the daily handling of the bins in its stride. The calculated service life is around 50 years – a horizon that painted timber at such an exposed, hard-working spot simply cannot match.
The identical model is also available for the large 240-litre wheelie bins – the unit simply grows with the bin format, as one of our references with three 240-litre bins shows. And if your household needs more or fewer bins: our modern bin store range covers two-, three- and four-bin standard models as well as bespoke builds for any other number, on request with an integrated letterbox, parcel compartment or doorbell.
The anthracite shown here is a classic for front gardens – dark enough for a calm, composed appearance, yet soft enough not to look harsh next to light render. It is one of over 250 HPL colours and décors, from white and steel grey through to wood and stone finishes, and we post free HPL colour samples to your home so you can judge your favourite tone directly against the façade before deciding.
Like every DESIGA product, this unit is developed in-house and manufactured in Germany. The finished bin store reaches you fully assembled by specialist carrier – alternatively, our own team delivers it and positions it at its final spot in front of your house.
