In modern new housing developments, available space is often limited, which is why clever concepts for storing garden tools and bicycles are in demand. This project impressively demonstrates how two neighbours can work together to create an XXL tool shed with impressive dimensions of 7.50 m wide and 3 m deep. A partition wall installed in the centre divides the building into two completely self-sufficient compartments, each accessible via two separate sliding doors. This design allows both parties to utilise maximum storage space at a total height of 2.45 m, while the building appears as a harmonious architectural unit from the outside.
Another important aspect of this project was the visual enhancement of the building services. Air heat pumps are often very prominent and unprotected in the driveway, which can detract from the aesthetic appearance of the property. A custom-fit enclosure securely encloses the heat pump and visually matches the design of the large garden shed. The system is no longer visible as a technical foreign body, but blends discreetly and attractively into the design of the outdoor area. In addition to the purely visual benefit, the enclosure also provides additional protection for the technical system and ensures a tidy overall appearance.
