This custom-made sideboard impressively demonstrates how technical necessities can be integrated invisibly and functionally into the terrace design. A special cut-out in the rear wall allows the piece of furniture to be placed directly flush against the house wall above an existing tap. The interior layout is designed so that the garden hose can remain permanently connected. This makes daily garden maintenance much more convenient: simply open the door, water the plants and then discreetly stow the hose away again. This solution ensures a tidy appearance without compromising the functionality of the outdoor area.
In areas where water is actively used, the HPL material comes into its own. Unlike conventional materials, HPL is completely waterproof – even if water remains inside when using the garden hose, the material does not swell and nothing bursts. This durability also makes the sideboard the ideal companion near the barbecue area. Thanks to its robust and easy-care surface, it serves as an ideal sideboard for food and drinks. In combination with the square fire pit, this creates a harmonious and highly functional ensemble that makes spending time outdoors a pleasure in any weather.
