A project has been completed in the seaport city of Emden that bridges the gap between modern architecture and classic North German building style. Located directly on a river, the terrace nestles up against a characterful brick building. In this setting, the custom-made sideboard acts as a discreet eye-catcher. With a width of 180 cm and a depth of 50 cm, this storage system makes optimum use of the space without obstructing the view of the water. The choice of anthracite colour harmonises perfectly with the reddish brick wall and the surroundings. A waterproof garden cabinet for the terrace, especially one located near a river, must be able to withstand wind and moisture – requirements that are easily met by the use of solid HPL panels.

Technical sophistication: intelligent interior design for long equipment

The special feature of this design in Emden is hidden inside the cabinet. To ensure maximum flexibility, the centre wall of the sideboard has been deliberately left open. This special design feature makes it possible to easily insert and safely store items with a length of over 130 cm. Long upholstery cushions or folded parasols can thus be stored without any problems, which is often not possible in standardised cabinets. This solution is complemented by height-adjustable shelves that can be individually adapted to the respective accessories. Whether small items or bulky equipment – the modular layout keeps everything tidy and within easy reach. The purist front appearance is retained, so that the patio always looks tidy and invites you to relax.
