Next to the existing garage, another storage space was created, closing the gap to the neighbouring garage. The white garden shed is aligned with both garages and thus blends in harmoniously with the view of the driveway. It looks more like an extension of the garage front than a shed that was added later.
The sliding door is extra wide, offering a passage width of around 1.32 m. This makes it easy to move bicycles, garden tools or larger items. The paved area in front of the garden shed serves as a manoeuvring area and can also be used as a small repair area if necessary, for example for bicycles.
In front of the garden shed is a wooden barrel that is used as a rain barrel. The warm wood tone forms a deliberate contrast to the smooth, white shell and ties in with the wooden elements of the house. This creates a connection between the modern structure and the natural materials in the outdoor area.
The corner ESG glazing brings daylight into the interior without interrupting the calm front. Inside, the storage space remains clearly visible, while outside, the structure appears tidy and understated.
