The technical challenge here lies in connecting a working wooden substructure with rigid exterior cladding. Since wood is a natural material that reacts to moisture and temperature fluctuations, the façade panels must be installed in such a way that no tension arises. This ensures that the wooden substructure and the HPL panels harmonise permanently and that the appearance remains flawless for decades.
A crucial detail for the durability of the façade is the type of fastening. In accordance with technical specifications, the holes in the façade panels are made significantly larger than the diameter of the screws used. These sliding points allow the panel to expand or contract minimally in extreme temperature differences without cracking or deformation. Only specially certified screws that are precisely matched to this system are used for this precise installation. This ensures that the entire structure remains stable and tension-free despite the natural movements of the wood core.
