In this project in Pirna, the sideboard acts as a connecting element between two large patio doors. It is positioned completely symmetrically, giving the façade a calm, tidy appearance. The colour coordination is particularly striking: the cabinet matches the dark window frames and creates a harmonious overall look. As the sideboard was made to measure, it makes optimum use of the wall space between the passageways without narrowing the walkways. This integration shows that functional storage space also offers real added value for the building in terms of design.
Due to its close proximity to the dining table and sunbathing area, the sideboard serves as a practical storage space for everyday outdoor use. Cushions, placemats and barbecue utensils are immediately to hand, which significantly reduces the distance to the house. The XL size, with a width of 180 cm, offers enough space inside to store even bulky cushions in a dry and dust-free environment. The flat height allows the top of the cabinet to be used as additional serving space during garden parties.
