This waterproof garden box is located on Lake Wörthersee in Austria – not just anywhere in the garden, but at the end of a long jetty, right next to the sun loungers. This is exactly where the need arises in everyday life: cushions, towels and a few utensils should be within easy reach, but not lying around in plain sight. A run-of-the-mill chest won't work in this setting. The box solves the problem neatly: it creates order without detracting from the effect of the jetty and the panorama. Its colour has been chosen to blend in harmoniously with the wooden deck, making it look as if it belongs there.
The location is challenging: surrounded by water, with little protection and directly exposed to wind and weather. This outdoor cushion box is designed precisely for this purpose. The surface is easy to clean and retains its appearance even when exposed to constant sunlight, splashing water and sea air. In addition, the box has been screwed directly to the wooden deck as storm protection – a detail that shows that it's not just design that counts here, but operational safety. The bottom line is a solution that has to work in a place like this: high-quality in appearance, robust in use and as simple to handle as it should be by the lake.
