At this location in the Zurich region, a small, waterproof tall cabinet makes use of the niche between the patio door and the glass balustrade. Due to its exposed position, the cabinet must be highly resistant to wind loads and direct weathering. The construction is designed so that the surfaces remain maintenance-free and do not need to be repainted. The white colour scheme is based on the tone of the Reduit.
An important technical aspect is the compensation of the floor slope of up to 3.5 cm, which is achieved by integrated adjustable feet in the base area. As there are already structural storage solutions under the roof overhang on the roof terrace, this large roof terrace cabinet for outdoor use was chosen to match the existing lines of the façade. The locking mechanism with a bar lock ensures that the doors remain securely locked even in strong gusts of wind. The interior organisation can be variably adapted to the height of the utensils by means of shelves.
