from design@garten to DESIGA^®

When a DESIGA^® piece arrives in your garden, on your terrace or in your outdoor space, it carries with it a story that goes far beyond its mere form. It is the result of a process that began over 15 years ago with a simple personal vision and now finds expression in a new identity.

The origin: a white garden shed

Our story begins in 2011. It was the desire for clarity and durability in our own garden that inspired us to design the first modern garden shed with an HPL façade. We sought an aesthetic that made no compromises – and a material that would stand the test of time without ever losing its lustre.

That first, gleaming white garden shed still stands today. It is living proof: design can be built to last for eternity. The desire for this perfect retreat gave rise to design@garten. But the vision did not stop at the garden shed. We began to apply the same uncompromising clarity to other elements of the outdoor space. This was followed by minimalist outdoor cabinets that transform organisation into design, elegant bin enclosures that aesthetically conceal the functional, and garden saunas that elevate the outdoor area to a private wellness retreat. Each of these products follows the same DNA: the symbiosis of architectural form and absolute weather resistance.

The essence lies in the detail

At our production facility near Augsburg, we have always adhered to the principle that details are not merely details. They are the essence. The way we process the extremely robust high-pressure laminate (HPL) is testament to the in-depth expertise we have perfected over a decade and a half.

A product from us is a promise: it frees you from the burden of maintenance. Where others have to sand, paint or varnish, our work gives you time. Time to enjoy the garden. This longevity is our understanding of sustainability – a product designed not merely to survive the years, but to thrive within them.

After more than 15 years as experts in HPL, our vision has grown. We have moved beyond the garden itself. We create structures that complement modern architecture and define outdoor living spaces. To live up to this ambition, we have refined our identity.

design@garten becomes DESIGA^®

Our roots lie in Bavaria, but our design speaks a universal language. DESIGA^® is the essence of our experience. It is the name under which we develop, test and manufacture – with the same uncompromising quality standards that have driven us since 2011. Today, we supply the entire garden world, from Austria to Italy, from France to Spain. Yet the core remains the same: we craft originals for people who seek something special and want to experience lasting quality.
